About the Department

Building technical competence for the analysis, design and development of safe, resilient and sustainable structural systems.

The Structural Engineering programme focuses on the principles and practices required to analyse, design and evaluate structural systems. It strengthens knowledge in structural mechanics, concrete and steel structures, construction materials, foundations, computational methods and structural safety.

The academic approach encourages students to connect engineering theory with practical design requirements. Emphasis is placed on analytical thinking, appropriate use of modern engineering tools, professional responsibility and compliance with relevant design standards.
